Synergistic Activities
Engineering Design and Communication
I direct the freshman design course at Northwestern where all freshmen engineering students participate in designing products to help people with disabilities to do everyday tasks like put on shoes, tie a pony tail, and participate in sports and recreational activities like water skiing and fishing.
Service to the Quality, Statistics and Operation Research Community
I have served as a founding council member, Chair Elect, and Chair for the Quality, Statistics, and Reliability Section of The Institute for Operation Research and Management Sciences (INFORMS).
